Jealousy. I started spending my money at a young age on expensive rides (instead of doing the smart thing of buying a house or some other ****) so I know what you are talking about.

Also depends on where you work. If you work as a stock boy at Safeway your coworkers may not be the most refined bunch. Where I work now... no one cares. They actually sometimes tell me I'm cheap b/c I didn't buy new. They also understand that "to each their own".

Several of my coworkers probably have shoe collections that rival the cost of my car!
