Recommend new battery for 996?

Need a new battery -- can anyone recommend who sells a good one that fits? We have Sears, Advance Auto, NAPA around here. Does DieHard make a good one that will fit the 996?

Thanks!

My mechanic recommeded Interstate.... so I got the Interstate. I did ask him about Optima batteries to which he didn't recommend them. According to him, he's had some fail and simply didn't like them. Interstate batteries last longer, according to him.

I don't know much about batteries.

Did anyone know that Napa bought the rights to the Optima batteries and have their own version.

Interstate makes excellent batteries, similar to the Sears DieHard gold. I think the Optima really is superior, it self discharges slower if you let the car sit. I also weighs less. It should last a year or two longer. However it costs about $100 and you have to drill some mounting holes to bolt it to the battery tray. I think I read that it is 17 pounds lighter.
