One thing to look out for, when removing the center console, becareful of the e-stop handle... you can scratch the underside of it. Put tape under it to protect it... you can do it without it, but just a precaution.

I'm going to DIY as well, with a friend that was a mechanic years back.
Is there a tutorial anywhere? Thanks for that advice Redridge, you might be getting a few PM's very soon!

I totally respect people who work on their own cars and wish like hell I was more mechanically inclined. With this mod it was worth the $100 to have my ssk installed a.s.a.p & correctly.
I was proud of myself for DIYing my upper & lower consoles and clear side makers, however I know my limitations.

For those that do DIY's/installs, make sure you post up your thoughts afterward!

Well, I just received my SSK. Will start to read the instruction and hopefully get it done in no time.
