Just to confirm something I read... The B&M unit only shortens the throws in a single plane (1st-2nd, 3rd-4th), but not from say 2nd to 3rd? The length of the throw can be adjusted? Just want to be sure. Thanks.

Total length of throw is reduced for all shift points. Non adjustable in car mounted, in console. Under car mounted devices may be adjustable. This one is in-car.

Red.....your order is confirmed, but you won't need TWO door plugs, there is only one keyhole on your Millennium Edition 911.

As for VCF Door Plugs....well, we ordered that paint from Germany about 3 months into that edition of the 911 (it was only available that way), and never ran the door plugs at that time. We can run them, but the better match would probably be Black Metallic.....

Email me to change the order before it ships in the morning.

eric@bumperplugs.com

Thanks.

I've just wanted to add that I ordered the shifter and bumper plugs previously from Eric on two separate occasions and they were probably the best experiences that I've ever had from a vendor. There was outstanding communication and I got the pieces really quickly. I've got no affiliation except for the plugs and B&M that's are my car and working great. This guy's a class act and wonderful to work with.

Thanks Eric, I appreciate your time to correct my order... I'm having a hell of a time locating the VCF paint... Any info of the VCF paint would be a God send.
Thanks

Got your email thanks

We have the VCF paint, that's usually not a big deal.

You need to find a shop in your area who uses Spies Hecker paints, or has access to them through their supplier. It's not that tough.

Just ordered one too. Looking forward to experiencing all the good things said about this mod. This is my third or forth order from Eric. Very high end product, amazing customer support, and Eric has a tremendous sense of humor!!

Now, about getting that bumperette off.......

Hello All

First post here, as I just picked up a 1999 996 coupe. And after a 500 mile trip I was thinkin about the B&M shifter. What kind of issues are involved in the installation? Is there issues in the adjustment such as nessesary in my 1984 carrera?

thanks all
Mark

Its pretty straight forward, I just replaced my cheap ebay special with the B&M, its a better shifter.
As far as installation, you need a 20 & 30 torx driver and standard tools, the manual is very detailed so you should not have any problems, 2 hours taking your time. The most time consuming part is breaking the stock bushings. Here is the link to the manual.

My dad is considering a new center too...but the problem is he doesn't know what to get, carbon, alu, or painted...I was wondering if maybe red or some other color besides silver would look good. the ext is silver, and interior is black...thanks
