We'll see - if this is true I would most certaintly not buy a NA 996 coupe - I heard this from a very relaible source.....

From what I hear as well there will be 2 versions released at the same time - The 997 and the 997s - which is slightly wider - should be an interesting next year for porsche - Look for a debut at the next major European Auto show

997 will apparently be officially presented at the Paris show.

I heard today that cars would be available sometime in August. I am making arrangements to get a deposit in and am hoping the C2S will be a reality and not just a rumor.

We have been trading emails, I left my number yesterday and hope to speak to someone today. I would be buying from an out of state dealer and hope to get some kind of a discount. Otherwise I will buy it locally.

I find it highly unlikely that anyone will be selling a brand new model under MSRP. Maybe I'm wrong... Good luck...

I tend to agree but 911 sales haven't been all that great, so we'll see. I would probably be willing to pay sticker for a C2S, look around, the 97-98's still bring all the money.

Paris Auto show is from Sept.25 to Oct.10, 2004
My dealer said not to expect any 997 in the US before the 2004 Holidays.

If its any later than August I can't believe that Porsche would make ME wait. Thats outrageous. Can we file a class action suit?

I still think getting a 10-12K discount on an 04 is a really great deal.
