Time for rear tires...what size?
I have 19x11 rears with 295/30/19's on there now....Should I just replace with the same or go up to 315/25? Ideas? Any ideas on how the handling will be affected by the wider tire?

well if you are happy with the way it handles now keep the same setup, the wider rears may cause the onset of some understeer and cause you to readjust the sways and pss9s....

I heard that the only way to run a 315 tire on a narrow body is to run fairly extreme camber, is this correct?

Newport, I am not an expert but as it was explained to me by Damon from the Tire Rack, you need to be very careful any of the dimension changes you make stay within 4% front to rear as to not through off the anti-lock and PSM systems. Talk to the experts at the Tire Rack or Porsche before you buy or make the change to avoid future problems, just my two cents!

my other worry with a 25 series is the possibility of making the ride harsher and it may make the wheel more prone to damage...

Lucent posted a while back also not to go wider than a 295 on a narrow body.

what are you running in the front? ... Ill do some tire size calculation of what percentage error is between front & rears. It shouldnt be no more than 4% accoding the the experts at PCA.

depends on certain wheel size, width etc.

19x11 wheel...currently 295/30/19...i will probably stick with that..just looking at the options....

yes John ur decision is right. although factory uses 305/30-19 as well but the wheel is 11.5'' wide. i think 295 fits 11'' nicely. no point going wider.

235-35-19 front and 315-25-19 rear are the proper combo.Installed several set ups this way.

You will be able to fit the 315 on the rear but will depend on wheel offset and brand off wheels.

You could also try 305/25/19, that would fit the 11 inch wheel
