Q. for cab owners re: windscreen...

dear cab owners... do you know of any aftermarket windscreens out there for 996? the reason i am asking is:

- mine looks all worn out, might need to get a new one
- would love to find one which gives me an extra inch or two when moving seat back (yeah i know it would have to be a very different design)
- doesn't squeak and rattle as much

speaking of squeaks and rattles -- whats a good solution? is Krytox the way to go?

Wow, I can't believe you don't use yours. It's the difference between being comfortable at 100+ and having a mini tornado going on. Mine is always in my car top up or top down unless the kids are riding. In fact, you can see it in my avatar if you look really hard.

my wife won't ride in the car without it. personally i don't like the way it looks when it's up and it makes it hard to get things in and out of the back seat.

however, with that being said, it does work really well and it makes a big difference with highway driving.

i seriously doubt there are any aftermarket ones available as the factory one fits and works so well. if you need to get another they areon ebay for $200 all the time.

I love the windscreen. I leave it in all the time when the weathers nice top up or down. Days where your just cruising and you dont mind the breeze flowing in the cab leave it down. But if your going out and your hair is looking sweet put it up and youll never get that breeze. I couldnt live wo it

I have one that I never used. I installed it, didn't like it, took it off the same day, and it's been sitting in my garage since. Make me an offer and it's yours.
Mine's off an 02 cab.

I have never used mine and don't see the need for it, so it's sitting on a shelf in the garage. The airflow management in this car is so much better than our old 3-series convertible, it's not even funny.
