Slow Startup Problem

Hello all. Haven't had any problems with my car until now. Not a daily driver, but I've recently come across a slight problem. At around 28k miles, my car now seems to be slowly starting up at cold or warmed up. Just seems like there's not enough juice going through the car. Could it be the battery, spark plugs or something else? Just thought I'd get some info from you guys before I bring it in. Thanks in advance.

Rocky,

If this is the original battery in your MY02, it is the battery going south on you. I have an 02 as well and had a similar experience and replaced battery and all is well.

Thanks Demosan. Will give it a try. If anyone has any other advice in the meantime, I'm all ears.

Put it on a battery tender. Not a DD + older battery = not enough amps goes out.

yea I think it's the battery, one of my buddies had the same issue after replacing it, it worked out pretty good for him.

It sounds like its the battery if it hasn't been replaced yet. I replaced my 2003 996 C2 battery at the end of last year. The car was weekend only with 20k miles. This is a simple DIY, which can be found on renntech.org.
