Jeff, I finally got it to work. When I took out the light I found the socket has a bit of play in it so I made sure it was as tight as I could get it. Then turned on the parking lights and tried to re-insert the light in and out until I got intermittent capture. I played with it for a bit until I found a happy place where all seems to work. I noticed I would gain (and then lose) the intermittent capture while I was manipulating the locking tool from the kit. Oh well it seems to work for now, but I'm not 100% pleased as it must surely be hanging together by a proverbial thread. I'll drive on it for a few days and see.
Thanks again.

Doug, how did you get your rotations to work on your retrofit kit?? Did you also install the front/rear sensors on the suspension that Jeff was referring to? TC

I installed everything that came with the retrofit kit (lights, wiring harness, control unit). The litronic low beams now rotate up to meet the halogen high beams as they should. I did not install for/aft sensors, they are supposedly cannot be retrofitted, but I suppose if you could get all the parts it could be done albeit it's one heck of a job.

I recently retrofitted my the 2002 litronic headlights onto my 1999 porsche. I had litronic headlights on the old headlights and they did use the level control. Everytime I turned on my car the headlights would adjust. Now my car does not do that. I know the control box is located on the suspension. Am I am missing any parts or did the body shop wire them incorrectly. Also how much is your dvd that you guys sell?

$1,600. That is the price for 1. But we can do a special deal of 3 different DVDs for the same price.

Then I can pay 100 times what Kimbel did for his Ultimate Ralley logo on the right side of the screen.

Then you can come to our work on cars days in the SF Bay Area. No charge. This is what we have been doing for 5 years. Sometimes we film the projects. This is from last Saturday.

Hey Guys,

Would really appreciate some help. I bought a used 2002 porsche c4 and on the passenger headlight the housing had a lot of scratches and a yellowish hue. I decided to not try to fix it and bought a 2004 headlight. The housing was a bit different in a way it did not have the lines as opposed to the 2002 headlights. When I installed it it did not auto level (go down and up) when I turned my car on. Any idea as to why this could be? I'm a newbie with porsche so any help/insight would be appreciated.

I talked to a friend and they said that maybe the headlight itself is does not auto level. Could I use the motor from the old 2002 headlight and put it in the 2004? Not sure...

Thanks!
