so you wouldn't be concerned about the intermediate shaft seal then?

Does someone have a pic of where the RMS is located at?

I have an 01 996... Have not seen any oil on the ground but would love to take a look under to see what's up...

Also who makes the new RMS that people are installing on cars nowadays? Is it Porsche?

i don't have a pic. yes, porsche makes the rear main seal. however, even the new seals are not holding up.

So it sounds like a dire situation... Are you saying that there is absolutely no cure for this? What percentage of cars have this issue?
