Does anybody know what tire sizes the 18" optional wheels come with?
SubscribeIf you order the optional 18 inch turbo wheels, are you still running the 205 in front and 255 in the rear tires or are you running wider tires? I seem to remember that the 18" wheels come with wider tires- not sure about it though.
if you mean the 18" wheels on narrow body, they come with
225/40 fronts
265/35 or 285/35 rears (in MY02 they switched from 265 to 285)
If you mean wide body...no idea...
225/40 fronts
265/35 or 285/35 rears (in MY02 they switched from 265 to 285)

I'm talking about the narrow body (No S), C2. So if I go with a turbo look 18 wheels, it will come with 225s in front and 285s in the back?

To get the best handling balance, Porsche normally matches 285/30/18 rear tires with 225/40/18 front tires on 8" width front wheels. 265/35/18 rear tires are usually matched up with 225/40/18 front tires on 7.5" width front wheels. You can run either setup with yur narrow body C2. Just make sure you have the proper width front wheels to match your rear tire size.
I have a 00 996 Cab with factory turbo look twist 18" with the 225/40 and 265/35. The rear rims are 10" and can fit a 285/30 like the newer 02 and up models have. I recently replaced the rears from 265/35 to 285/30's. I think it looks better lower profile and wider. TC
Thanks! I found on another site (yahoo autos) that porsche does give you 225s in front and 285s if you order the turbo look 18" wheels. Interesting that on the porsche site it says nothing about what tires will be offered with 18" wheels.
