Is it possible to polish minor chips and scratches out of glass? If so, who would I contact or how do I do it myself?

 

I'm not sure about scratches, but in terms of small chips I once took a car of mine to a local auto glass shop and they filled the crack. It wasn't very expensive, and I never saw the crack again. They did such a great job that I couldn't find the crack after they were finished. I believe they aren't supposed to fill a crack if its under the driver's side wiper's path, but the place I took mine belonged to a friend of a friend so he did it anyway.

 

if you can feel it with your fingernail it wont polish out,
Eastwood makes a kit for lite scratches (wipers etc)

I will make a run sometime very soon. I am such a maniac when it come to clean glass and my windscreen has scratches in it from when the dealership cleaned my car a few months back. Is this something I could run down, we go to lunch, and be done in a few hours?
