Rollbar for Cab

My favorite driving clubs have gotten stricter with their safety requirements. The popup rollbars don't qualify any longer, and I have to install a rollbar if I wanted to drive my cab at their events.

Since the car would rarely see the track (3-4 times/year) I want the option to remove it after each event. Compactness when off the car would be desireable to reduce the storage space in the garage.

Do any of you have suggestions? If you can post photos of your setup, that'd be great.

John

I have the Porsche tequipment one. I'll try to dig up a picture. Install is not bad, really easy after the first time and especially so with two people. It is still pretty bulky so I hope you have space, which I don't.

Cab Roll Bar Pic

I put one in last fall to accommodate the PCA rules and to add further protection for those days that I go off to the hills and drive like a retard. The Tech bar is great and as stated, is fairly simple to install. I got mine at RUF(live 2 miles from them) and did the install myself. I highly doubt you will have any interest in R&R-ing both seats to remove and reinstall it after events. Stick with the added protection and the fact that it furthers you rides ability to look a bit more pimp.

Part number is 996.580.984.00

The label reads 996 Cabrio

Don't have to remove seats to put it in and take out. With two people, ten minutes to take it out, twenty to thirty to put it in.

That does look great!! if you're looking for just a harness mount, Brey Krause has one, which I was thinking about...though knowing now that there is a P-Tech one, I may opt for that one...

Yeah, you should go for the added measure of rollover protection.
