Unichip - Anyone use it?
Unichip - Anyone use it?
Came across this 996 plug-n-play chip tuning kit online- Anyone know if this is a decent product?

I have only heard good things but I don't know anyone with a 996 that has one yet. No sending your ECU back to be reflashed! If you buy it and have it installed from a master distributor/installer they can put you car on a dyno and modify the profile a bit for your exact car. So maybe you have a full exhaust including aftermarket cats, maybe the plenum, etc. I guess the Uni-chip makes it easy for them. Also, when you want to strip the mods off your car and go back to stock, you just pull the mods and pull the uni-chip, no reflashing etc.
Thanks for the info schnazzy- I thought the plug-in design was kinda neat, but I can't find any real opinions on actual use of the product.
Other option I was considering is getting the GIAC flash, Upsolute module or Powerchip (flash I think)- any socal folks know of any tuner shops up in LA area that deal with these products?
