Benjamin Choi is infamous around these parts
Lashy type noise when coming off throttle

I just noticed this today with windows up, AC on while driving on the hwy at around 70mph. Stereo off.

-Moment I come off throttle while traveling hwy speeds in 6th gear, maybe depressing it a little bit at first, I get this lash noise coming from the back end area

-Noise is quiet enough to not detect it if windows are down or sunroof is open or stereo is on

-I can repeat the noise pretty easily and it's heard in 6th kinda jabbing at the throttle lightly and letting off then "lash" noise

-"Lash" noise sounds kinda like when those race tranny cars shift and the driveline or whatever makes that lash noise except of course much quieter and brief (split second noise)

Is this normal or should I have it checked out? Mine is a 996 C4S w/ PSE.

Best,
Ben

dude, still trying to figure what a lash noise sound like... is it like the engine and trans engaging (like a "bump") when you step on the throttle? BTW who drives in 6th?
