You can paint your own calipers or get them painted for less IMHO.

Several threads on painting them yourself, do a search. The key to the finish is the prep work.

The kit I am looking at is made by Dupli-Color: http://www.duplicolor.com/products/caliper.html

I have heard a lot of good feedback with this kit. Then you can get the decals and clear coat over them. With this kit you do not need to remove the calipers.

This is going to be a winter job for me that way I can take my time and allow me to get the finish I want.

I used him and his job is superb! I would recommend him. His calipers survived the salt flats and 6k miles journey. Still looking like new, which I can say the same about my engine....

Doesnt seem like a bad deal since the calipers are being rebuilt at the same time it gets painted.

There is someone on this site that also powdercoats and rebuilds calipers. Think the user name is Sandoval. You might want to contact him and see if his deal is better.

I am thinking about doing this too.

Here are actual pictures of his work...I just sent back my old Calipers for the refund of the $1000 core deposit. When I get back the $$$, then I can fully recommend him.

Sorry for the big pictures, I figure you guys want detail....

Keep us posted on the core refund. If he proves reliable, it looks like I'll be dumping yet more $$ into the car.

Those do look nice and yes like to hear how the refund goes.

The only thing I have a concern with is that they are rebuilt, I hope it is a good rebuild, I mean these are your brakes.

Hmmm Group Buy, sounds interesting. Need to know if this can happen before the winter, as I have plans to paint my own calipers then, but if the price is right with these then maybe. Would be a good time to flush the brake fluid and also install SS lines.

As for the rebuilt, they stopped me from 158mph to ZERO numerous times on the flats. I put close to 7000 hard miles immediately after putting them on and they survived longer than my engine....I can only say that much. Heck I probably need a rebuilt after all the doughnuts that I did on the flats....

That was exactly what I did, except I had a Boxster so I installed a set of 996 C2 brake Setup along with ATE Racing Blue and SS lines. After everything was put on, it stopped like a dime if not better..
