EVO #19 is up and running and the car is all that I dreamed it would be. The install took forever but the C4S is a special beast and now we know what it takes that is different than the C2. And Todd was a stand-up guy and paid for the extra work required for the install ( hoses rerouted and a re-enginered intercooler resivoir). The CEL is on but the Porsche dealer attributed it first to too rich a mixture, which is common at this altitude, and the idle searching for the right RPM. The RPM limiter must be high because I have been to 7000 with no problem. This is how a Porsche should be. Call me crazy for throwing away 18m of perfectly good warrenty but what a kick! I still have concerns about longevity but I will be diligent with more frequent oil changes and let Autosport Werks do at least yearly belt and air cleaner changes. I cant imagine a Power Kit for 14k and only 25 hp when you can get 100hp+ for less. Im grinnin ear to ear, and the 50/50 100 octane fuel mix with our 91 here makes it even better. My Turbo itch is gone. Will

Sorry Im slow to respond. The SC install was 1500 at Autosport Werks as we agreed and EVO took care of the over run due to R&D problems on the C4S. Im still a long way from Denver and hope to stay that way a while (if you know what I mean). This is the ultimate mod if you have the itch and guts to chance it. I did buy the car to have fun. Will

i'd take the GT3 if you can live with a coupe. that said, given the value of your 01 vs. what the GT3 is going to cost you, the SC is probably a better choice.

here is a comparison to the old GT3:

I like the looks of the C4S better than the GT3 or the Turbo for that matter, and the driveability is definitely superior for a nice mix of comfort and thrill. If I were to do a lot of tracking I would get another 911 and dedicate it to that alone. When I post pics someday you will see what my idea of near perfection in a sports car really is. Will
