Yes. The grilles on the 996 GT3RS front bumper are flush with the bumper. The grilles on the cup bumper are inside the bumper and not flush with the outer part.

Yes,
The Cup bumper I have has a plug just like the factory bumper does AND it has the horizontal cutout. I had the bodyshop that installed mine fill it the horizontal slot because you could not just "add the cup tow hook" without removing the bumper assembly and front bumper support, so I decided to keep it clean.

 

I just picked up my GT3 RS bumper and RS side skirts today- total hotness.... Taking them to the paint shop on Monday, can't wait!!

Skirts came with the OEM Porsche installation hardware kit and they threw in a 3ft roll of quality screen mesh, so I could mesh all of the bumper openings.

 

Please post pics I am interested to see how this all works out.

Yeah, I figure it's going to be a couple of weeks before the parts get put on. Parts are now at the paint shop.

They are also going to paint my center console and dash horseshoe in body black at no extra charge- But no one is quite sure what pre-paint prep work should be done on the console / horseshoe with that 'soft touch' paint. So we'll see.
