Thanks for this great informative site, I have lost many hours of work because of this site, but I also pick up plenty of useful posts. This tuesday I pickup a 2001 996 with 26K miles, flew to SF and drove back to irvine, ca. Took 6 hours due to traffic, but was great fun! I am happy to join the elite crowd. now if only i can get rid of the road rashes....

 

Well come to the 6. I'm in SF and I have a black 99' with the same aero kit. How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

I paid close to $40k, there were some mods (upgrade factory suspension, hid, crappy sounding aftermarket $7K stereo, fabspeed mufflers) There are more chips than I expected, I think its a fair deal... what you guys think?

 

Awesome! I have a question though, when you bought it did they give you the remains of the original retractable spoiler? Personally I'm not a fan of the GT3 spoilers and found a car that has everything I want in it except that it has the GT3 spoiler (and if its possible to remove by yourself).

about the spoiler as well, it looks nice from the front angle, but from the back that thing looks ugly.
