I found a C4S (private party) that was CPO'd a year ago when he bought it and has a year left on the warranty. Does anyone know if I will be able to extend the warranty any longer with Porsche? If so, how much does that cost. The whole issue of a $12K repair for 2nd gear pop out and RMS leak scares the crap out of me.

I don't believe you can extend it but the 2nd gear pop out isn't a big issue in the C4S and the RMS if PCNA doesn't take care of out of warranty it's only $800. Get it inspected by an indy shop (body and mech), good luck.

 

2nd gear pop out is a tt issue and rms is 700-1200, if these scares you maybe you should get something else...gt3 maybe.

Ha ha, funny. I already have a Lexus. No, $1200 doesn't scare me, it's the $12,000 that people have paid for the 2nd gear pop out on the turbos that scares me. That's a big difference from $1200.
