Tyre pressure problem after 20" HRE

I am facing strange thing with my tyires ... every day I get the tyre pressure alarm sayin one of the tyre needs to put more air. when I just fill it up and move with the car the lights comes again and asks me to fill up another tyre and so on.

this happened only when I put my 20" HRE Wheels on, any idea why I am facing this??

Are the TPMS sensors compatible with the 20" rims? Call HRE to find out. Otherwise you may have a slow leak, is it one tire or all tires? Are you double checking the pressure with a tire gauge? Any other symptoms? Bent or out of round rims will leak air as will multi piece rims.

Is the pressure low when you get the warnings or are you getting warnings with correct tire pressure?

You probably did not reset the presure sensors corectly after the new tires were put on.
check the pressure manually and reset the sensors as well as the tires size w/ the pcm.
Good luck

It could be the new tires and rims. However, on mine even with factory tires this used to happen when I added air or took some out. Give it a couple days to heal on its own....the manual describes this. If the light doesn't go out then it is the new tires. This is one reason I am reluctant to go to 18" wheels because of something like you are describing. The porsche tire air system is just too sensitive.

Thanks for all the replies,

actually I called Porsche here, and the guy told me to go to the service system in the car (where you have the OIL, Chrono, SET...etc) and choose the tyre pressure but I replied to him and said their is no option called tyre pressure their and he was like no way!!

it seems that Porsche dealer did not configure the tyre pressure first time I took the car .. this is why I might be having a problem because it was not set.

The leak does not happen in one tyre only, it happens to all ... and the maximum it could go is -0.6 BAR ... but this technician told me that the car calibrates it self! so even if I add more pressure it leaks it self to the original setted value which is I do not know what is... I might have to wait and take it my self to them.

Did you use the sensors that were supplied with the HRE wheels? Or did you take out the original ones supplied by Porsche?

I think you should take the car to your local Porsche Dealer to have the system reset.

BTW, where do you buy wheels and aftermarket products in Saudi? I am keen to know as I have been offered to open a branch in Jeddah specializing in High End Wheels and Tuning products, I would like to know if there is a market there and if it will be worth it.
