man, i had been reading all you guys' comments for a year and decided the 997 turbo would be a dd for me. now that i bought a turbo cab, and i realize in order to make it a true dd, i will have ot take interstate 287 and more than double my usual mileage to 16 mi/one way. otherwise i'd probably be better off driving my s500 --local roads to work are 7 miles but with 25 to 35mi/hr speed limit, the porsche becomes useless.

OK...time to resurrect this thread...I can't take another second of the Lexus...it's sucking all the lust for driving out of me...it's a fine car but so boring I want to burn the car and delouse myself after every single drive! I can't stand it!!!!!!!!

So here we go again...

I'm considering a used Bentley Continental GT...seems to tick all the boxes...it's fast, stylish and AWD.

Any other thoughts gents??

Justin - you may want to consider something that drives/rides completely different from your 997TT. This way, you'll look forward to driving it and miss it even more. I use my Rover during the week. Big(for errands/groceries/riding 3-5 folks), safe, and comfy. I so look forward to driving the Porsche come weekends.

Bentley is nice, but way too heavy, and will be boring as well after not too long IMO

Why not go completely different, like this.

For a complete change of pace try a Ford F350 Super Duty with all the bells and whistles, including a big ball rattling diesel engine and four wheel drive. Add chrome dubs with noisy off road tires and you got yourself a real attention getter at half the price of a ***** wagon like a used Bentley.

Thanks guys...***** wagon...that made me laugh...

I don't want a truck or SUV (already have the GL450 for the wife)...I want a comfortable ride, AWD and room for the kids or 2 passengers...and it MUST be fun to drive.

I would love an M3 but they are rear wheel drive so that's out. I find Audi's to be incredibly boring and just not that special (sorry Audi lovers).

The conti still seems the way to go but I want to make sure I'm not missing something...

Oh yeah...one more thing...there is a GIAC flash for the bentley for about 100 additional HP...it does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds stock...now add a quick flash and another 100 HP...sounds like fun to me!
