Do the shifts (Not at the beggining) sound like it's some sort of different tranny in there? It's defiantely not a tip, but they sound really quick & smooth to be a 6speed. (Especially when the car is going faster)

so this face lift... whats going to be changed?

definately an auto / tip / dsg of some sort with very fast sounding shifts.

Sort of related, Lexus ISF claim 100ms shifts on their 8speed tranny! Thats mighty quick.

the last 10 secs were the most telling of the tranny...basically went to 5th gear so very quick, with no jerkiness, no nothing..

Also, there were a few passes where i doubted the dsg/wtv...because the shifts sounded SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, and then the other ones were super quick..

any ideas?

Probably, they were testing both manual and dsg tt.

Both are great.

Oh...I just fell in love with the facelifed turbo.

Might be wishfull thinking on my part, but the non-manual sounded a lot like a dsg/pdk, but I can't really compare unless somebody has a similar vid from a TIP

It "sounded" a lot like the VW MKV DSG tranny

I can't tell so much on the upshifts, but the downshifts sure sound like a DSG shift.

What kind of updates do you guys see on the facelift, I can't tell.
