I mean ****, I'd take a CS over that car and keep $400k. But really though, almost any car in that range---Ascari, CGT, F40, 300 SL, LP 400, etc etc.

whoa there, you would take a 330WHP flappy equipped CS over a CTR3? that's crazy talk, you must really love those CS's

CGT, F40 i would agree with. this thing does have 700HP & RWD though. i live about 15 minutes away from Ruf, if they get one in i would like to see it in person.

I think it's a great car. It's not for someone who is contemplating between an LP a CGT or an Enzo, it's for the guy who already has one or two of those and wants something special and unique. Or it's for the guy who really knows what he is getting into, and why. I think it's a great car, taking the best of all that porsche has to offer, and making a unique beast.

Exactly..it takes the best parts and engineering from porsche right now. 911 parts, Cayman parts, and puts them together in a way that makes the whole more than the parts.

It also has a pretty high level of finish for what can be considered a tuner kit-car in some ways (I understand RUF and its abilities, but often when tuners build cars like this they have a very kit-car level of finish)

I second that. I hope what little CTR3's are made go to owners who will drive them. Speaking of which...does anyone know the approximate production per year? I'm looking to buy

i wish!!! Quite a bit more than an RT12 right there...

I'm biased of course, but sure I'm quite intrigued by the CTR3. It simply doesn't have the "can be used everyday" quality of a 911-based Ruf, though performance will be another level up yet again. Of course, for many people, paying that much money for what is still a 911-based car doesn't make sense... but I guess it really depends what you want...
