The APR Software is available for direct-port install for the Porsche 997 Turbo. No pulling the ECU required, no extra cables, no hassles! APR has extensively researched this programming with hours of track time. The APR engineers have unlocked torque numbers on the 997 turbo that are impressive. Their software package includes all their EMCS functions; 91 or 93 Octane performance software, 100 octane track software, stock mode software, valet software, fault-code erase, throttle-body alignment and even anti-theft!

EMCS is available for this car. EMCS is APR's revolutionary patent pending Enhanced Modular Chipping System. EMCS is an industry leading technology that brings many new features to the automotive enthusiast. This technology was developed exclusively by APR, LLC and demonstrates APR's continued commitment to lead the industry with the most technologically advanced products available.

EMCS makes the following advanced features possible:
Flip Switch: Using the cruise control buttons, you are able to switch between up to four separate ECU programs of your choice. Examples of possible chip programs include stock, 91 or 93 octane performance chip, 100 octane program and valet.
Unique Access Code: A unique access code is used for the security lockout feature and anti-theft system. The user may select any 1 to 4-digit number to be used as their access code. The access code is entered using the cruise control buttons.
Security Lockout Feature: Prevents unauthorized personnel from accessing EMCS functions and changing the current EMCS configuration. The Security Lockout feature is available as a stand-alone option or bundled with the Anti-Theft system.
Anti-Theft System: This theft deterrent system prevents the car from being operated by unauthorized personnel, even if given the key. The engine will crank and idle, but will not accept throttle input. A thief, even if successful in getting the car to start, will have no power with which to drive away. The Anti-Theft System can only be deactivated by entering your unique access code. (Because of this, the Anti-Theft System includes the Security Lockout feature).
Fault-code Erase: Allows you to erase and reset engine related trouble codes without having to use a specialty tool.
Throttle-body Realignment: Allows you to manually perform throttle-body adaptation.
Want chipped mode? Want to be able to switch back to your stock settings? Want a race mode to run 100 octane fuel at the track? How about a valet mode that limits power? EMCS is the lone technology on the market that can give you all of these options. No changing of the chip or ECU is required. These programs are available at the touch of a button.

APR has taken your cruise control buttons and utilized them for this function. Your cruise control will continue to function as normal, but will give you the ability to scroll through the programs you have purchased on your APR chipped ECU. The procedure is simple and involves only two steps.

We are able to load the software directly onto the DME using the diagnostic port. The direct-port capabilities means that you can bring your car to our facility (we can even program it remotely, at an event we attend) and we can load the programming in under an hour. If you are not in our area, contact us and we can have you send the DME to get flashed.

Feel free to post of PM me any questions you may have. Pricing and more details about the specs and engineering process of the software can be viewed on our site. Simply click on the dyno sheet above! You can also click the Search by Car logo to view everything else we have for your the 997 Turbo

Matt,

You have a product that is new to us, no one on here has installed it. You would certaintly recieve my business when I buy my TT if I had a few forum members to count on as happy customers.

Why not offer the first (or first few) members the ability to install for a substantial discount? OR, install it for free and have the software deactivate after 5-10 starts?

Just my 2 cents...

Good Point.............

It has been on the market for very long. If you would like to talk to some people who have it already let me know, I would be happy to get a couple numbers for you to call. Im sure they would not mind at all.

We do offer a trial it last 6 hours of driving time. Costs $100 and when it runs out if you decide you like it, call us back up with your Credit Card Info and we can show you how to activate it without having to come back to our shop. We can also arrange for your ecu to be flashed at APR's facilities if your not a local customer but would be willing to ship your ecu. We have already done a few of these in house already. We would do more if there were more of these cars in the area. I do offer a discount already for 6 Speed Members.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Yes, yes have some questions. Software sounds great. The major short-coming to these twin-turbos is the 6800 rpm rev-limiter. Can 7600 rpm be achieved with this software? Are any 7600 rpms permanently etched on the porsche computer(warranty issues)? Why has Porsche provided such a low rev-potential, makes 1st gear a night-mare at times because of a rediculous short duration? I understand from other chip-makers that these twin turbo engines can handle 7600 revs with no problems. True? Can this software be installed by someone in my area in Florida or does my porsche software have to be shipped to you??

The Software obviously voids your warranty, just like almost any other mod. However the software is encrypted so its not detectable with Porsche Diagnostic Tools. Additional horespower is also gained with the Software when you upgrade the headers and cats. I believe an update is required when you have them installed.

APR has several distributors because they have been selling software for all the VW & Audi cars for over decade. However most of their distributors are VW/AUDI specific shops. To chip the Porsche turbos and NA's it requires a different cable and software that need to be purchased from APR. So to answer your question you would have to go to APR's site to call their local distributors and see if they can chip the Porsche's. Your best bet would be to send your ECU in to APR and do it through us, plus you get a special forum discount too.

ABout the RPM's I have put in a call to APR. I will post up in a few minutes with an answer. In the mean time I'm going to check the dyno graph and see if that will tell me.
