i'd worry about the LF-A... it has already bested GTR's ring time.

i don't believe so, i thought i've seen it from a couple of sources. i wouldn't be surprised if it is faster, 500+hp v10, entire body is made out of carbon fiber and probably more technological transmission...

 

It "supposedly" beat the GT2 by 1 second.

Though it's still "unofficial," so it doesn't really count.

 

I've seen it a couple of places too, but they were all copying the same other place. A 7:24 needs verification big time.

 

LOL, the blog I'm talking about said the LF-A ran a 7:24 but was one second faster than the GT2. It cant be both. Hence my skepticism. Mixed with it being the same place that said they timed the GT-R at 7:15

 

1 second on a 7+min track means nothing... besides who really gives a damn... since you were putting down lexus before, theres no point to argue with you. Lexus does make some really nice cars.

 

im not saying in favor of nissan or lexus or the entire japanese auto industry. porsche isn't god, it can be beaten, regardless the manufactures or where the manufactures from. fastest porsches' lap times are often taken by emselfs and driven by their own test drivers, im not doubting those time, but who are we to take credit away from other manufactures?

When the same place that posted a time for the GT-R of 7:15 posts a time for the LF-A of 7:24, I'm not so dumb as to fall for it.

Who said Porsche couldnt be beat? Your jumping to conclusions real fast. I dont trust the source, who have proven their blunder in the past. I dont trust blogs period, most of which read forums for their information. I dont know anything about the car but I do know if it ran 7:24 it would be a much bigger deal than it has been. It has nothing to do with who ran it. I'd like for GM to come back with a time in the 7:20's for the ZR-1.

 

I think you "haters" are the non "porsche owners" or "enthusiasts" that neither own, aspire to own a Porsche. You merely ramble about a car you clearly do not have GTR, sing its praises if you must but here it is. If you search the web I believe that they have GTR forums where Porsche "haters" can go and sing kumbaya or something. . .

A Nissan is a Nissan, period. Sounds egotistical? Maybe. But it is not built like a Porsche. It is not engineered like the Porsche, doesn't have same materials as Porsche, does not have the feel of Porsche or the heritage. Someday, if you are lucky, talented or both you own one. Call me lucky.
