OMG! It just hit me... I've seen the light... praise be to the automotive gods. The GTR is the second coming! We should all bow down... I repent for my sins (buying a TT) I should have waited for the GTR... I will now join the brotherhood (because it's mostly young males) of the GTR and invade every automotive forum and demand respect, ad nauseum, for the GTR.

Doesn't the post count (11) and this statement pretty much sum it up? I suspect that a large majority of these individuals cannot afford either car, have never seen either car in the flesh, have never driven a sports car of any type, and have never been to any track. But they write car reviews like they have a 10 car garage. It happens every 6 months or so, we're used to it.

Come out to Cali if you think I've never been to a race track, I'll likely hand you your *** on silver platter, with a turbocharged 07 Mustang might I add...and yes I see you have a almight GT2 lol. I've driven pretty much the full line of the 996/997 models, and even got to drive a CGT around the block at my old shop. I've also gotten rides in some pretty beastly 996 Turbos/GT2's, including Alex's (Sharkwerks) old 800hp 996 Turbo. I've also seen the GT-R in person at the Mosconi Auto Show, so I would think I could make a intuitive comparison. Keep coming with your lame rhetoric.

I thought my original post was pretty unbiased, and for anyone level headed without something up there ***, likely would have thought the same. I gave credit where credit was due in both cars cases, and knocked each car fairly...regardless of how blind you want to be. didn't you read the thread title? For most people here The GT-R isn't superior, It's prototype's and test mules have been quicker and a lot of people are waiting judgement until production cars make it to the US. There is more to ownership than numbers. When I was at Cars and Coffee this weekend the car I was really impressed, with was a beautiful example of an aircooled turbo. I'ld buy that in a heartbeat over a GT-R. If I lived near a track and expected to spend a lot of time there, I'ld probably have a Lotus ExigeS, My biggest complaint after going from an S2000 to my Turbo is it's not as involving. Everthing I've read about the GT-R it's been brought up how uninvolved it is for the driver compared to the Porsche. That's the main reason it's not the superior car for me. If you want to continue posting hear you might want to tone down your posts I've seen others Banned for similar rants.

 

Hotrodguys: Buddy, just because I'm more blunt and honest than other people on here, doesn't mean I'm wrong in my defense. Wow you have 11,000 post, you must have no life. Around here it seems like its ok for me to assume such a thing, and get away with it. Simply put, I don't like being disrepected...and I'm sure no one else around here does either.
