Techart vs. HRE Wheels

What are the weight differences between 20" Techart Formula wheels and 20" HRE Monoblock P40 wheels?

I have the Techart wheels and am thinking about going with the HRE Monoblock to save some weight and increase performance.

What do you guys think?

Definately HRE's. Techart wheels are cast and very heavy is my understanding.

These new wheels would compliment my new exhaust, ECU, plenum and pulley system. How much would I actually feel from the weight difference?? The Techart wheels look great though . . .

if you are really concerned about weight saving why not stick with 19". they are 2 very different looking wheels, just choose whichever look you like better.
i prefer the hre's in this case

For difference in weights, Wheel Enhancement would know the answer. Wheel Enhancement (310) 836-8908 http://www.wheelenhancement.com/

If you are looking for performance improvement, maybe go all the way, to *19* HRE?
The HRE has a clever design where the spokes are carried all the way out to a very thin outer rim, making the wheel look bigger than its actual size. People do occasionally mistake my wheel for being a 20, even though it's a 19.

Although I think the Techarts are a good looking wheel, they have been around forever and are starting to look a little dated. I had them on my '04 Cayenne TT (spring of 2003) and they were available for the 996 cars a year or two before the Cayenne.

This is true for almost all wheels with this type of design. That is a spoke that goes all the way to the outside of the rim like the ones he has pictured.

Between your choices I like the P40 . My favorite monoblock wheel though is this Champion wheel . If I was going monoblock this wheel is amazing.

A HUGE difference. Stay away from heavy wheels - esp. Techarts.

Although the TechArts are amazing looking wheels, they are Cast which means they are not as light as some of the competitors Forged wheels.

It all depends on the look you would like to go with, and the performance you wish to get out of your car. The HREs would def be a lighter...

HREs get my vote
