15 minutes of my EVT700
15 minutes of my EVT700
I got my car back today and only drive it 15 minutes . Here's my first impression :
It's Amazing !!!!!!
Now here's my review :
1) The hardest part of the transition for me will be adapting to the new clutch . I never cared for the stock clutch too much though. It felt it was kinda soft and squishy and ambiguos in it's "catch" leaving some driver guesswork at first . The new clutch feels slightly harder but not a leg workout at all . The hard part is finding the point of grab without either the car lunging or chatter . I can do it right but it takes a little learning .
2) The power is astounding. My car was already fast before I got this and even though I hadn't drivenm my car in a month the new M3 is by no means a wimp --but this EVT car is just indescribable . The lag is reduced the torque feels like a tital wave is about to pop out of the hood and when it goes ... it's flys .
My car was heavily modded before making this jump but now its in a new league .
I kept the Werks 1
I kept the IBD plenum
I kept the Tubi exhaust
So my car may not be a "true" EVT700 in every aspect but the parts I kept have meshed nicely .
I love the kit . IMO --it's the way to go.

I am not really a youtube type of guy but I am going to film this car a bit after I learn how to drive it (lol) . I just came back from a test drive --it really takes a bit of skill and timing to get the launch right and with the power that it has on tap I am being extra careful.
The mods made it the car have a lot of zing but this jump adds a whole new dimension .

Congrats! I actually saw your car this morning (Friday) at the Collection. I saw the car as I was pulling out of the valet parking area. The car was unmistakably yours, it looked (how do you say...) WICKED.
