My SPI 750 project...
the tips are definitely quicker off the line as you can leave on boost. however, they seem substantially slower from a roll, especially from 60 - 130. for some reason, i have always been able to get a quicker 60 - 130 time on my 997 with 1 shift instead of 2. i would run 5.21 seconds with 1 shift and 5.4 seconds with 2 shifts.
Maybe coz the weight difference betrween tip and M6 car?
Also Todd K extended the rev limiter to 7200 on M6 and 68xx on tip cars...Wouldn't that make a difference?

I agree %100...Tip accelerate QUICKER from standstill to 125mph and much SLOWER after 125mph.

michael, i just went for a ride in your 997 tip with tym yesterday. he wanted to see how effectively the monster intercoolers worked on back to back runs. your car is the fastest 997 tip i have been in so far. both runs were identical and recorded 0 - 60 time of 3.4 seconds, 60 - 130 times of 7.8 seconds, and 1/4 mile time of 11.4 @ 128 mph. congratulations, i thinks these are great numbers for a tiptronic.
This is very important...cause only with agressive launch from 2700-3000rpms at only +5C we could run 11.4+ here...
Techart 630HP runned 10.88 on 20s wheels in Hungary and 11.34 here and trapped 130...but u cant launch from 2700-3000 like stock car...cause its starts moving at 2000 rpms
...I hope for better result soon ...More tuning to be done...
It would be nice to compare honest numbers from other Tips cars from AWE or Evoms...If stock Tips are faster then manual 0-150 (as per mags tests) then mod should be faster or run simular times as well IMHO...

Very intresting numbers...8.4 for stcok Tips sounds unbeleivable
..I mean my car was tested with Giac ECU and Tubi at 10.4 ((( may be we are not doing it something right with TIPS
I agree that Tips with same power should be as fast a manual at least to 60-130...hopefully it will be...

0-160 TIPS is 1.8sec faster the manual...so definately Tips should be as fast if not faster then manual 60-130...so we should have better times...
I know what problem we are facing but I am not going to tell u guys now, cause it took us quite a lot of time to find this out...no probs with tuning...the car is just making too much POWER
As for other tuners... Please show US you DYNO numbers and your times with your TIPs !!!
Thanks

What i noticed is from 0-193mph both manual and tip r almost same BUT
from 0-125 the tip would beat by 1-2sec not sure
from 125-193 the manual would beat the tip by also 1-2sec
GT Rus...You have PM

RUS, at 7.8s you are comparable to a 600hp 997tt. Can you post your driftbox runs and dyno? The 996tt board here as a full list of 60-130mph times of various cars here. 700hp should put you into the 6s range
We're working on the interior right now which should be completed in 2-3 weeks. This should be the nicest (and fastest) street driven S4 running around.
