Question here from a "long time lurker, first time poster". I was talking with my dealer yesterday and he indicated that even though the Chrono package is an option on the 997TT, every car he has sold has had it.

I was wanted to know how many, if maybe all, of the owners on this board had this package?

I believe the dealer! Big mistake not to order it with this option. if you are buying used and going to mod then I would not pass on the car if everything else is 'perfect' though. Failing that sport chorno is a must.

The hole time i was looking for a used turbo I saw one that didn't have sport chrono. I look at a lot of turbo... It's a must have to me and would have been a deal breaker if it didn't...

Hmmm.... 24 - 1 so far. So, what's the story on that 1 car? Was it ordered that way on purpose?

I imagine if you do find a car at a dealer without sport chrono you may be able to make that into a good case to get a bit of a mark down on it. But then again, you'd be without sport chrono which would suck unless you started doing some mods.

I have only seen 1 Turbo without sport chrono and it was the very first 2007 that we got in. Would not be smart to order a Turbo w/o the sport chrono

In terms of depreciation, I'd guess that any car that lacks the Sports Chrono package would fetch a lower price.

A few months back, I talked to a dealer that had a brand new Carrara White 2008 997TT. It had very nice specs but was missing Sports Chrono. The salesperson told me it had been hard to move.

I'm surprised the dealer let that order go through without the sport chrono. They would probably have had an easier time moving a TT in hot pink than one without chrono.

For those who decide to mod with ECU flashes probably aren't concerned with the extra boost that the SC provides. I have SC but it would not have been a deal breaker without since I plan to mod the ECU.

This is a must have option - love it! The extra boost is very noticeable in mine - wouldn't be without it.

I've seen a few on eBay. I think it should be standard on the Turbo. It pretty much makes the car.

Why make it standard, when you can charge an arm and a leg for it...
