This is porbably a fantasy, but any rumors of an Turbo S coming (with PDK)

 

No rumors as far as I know, there is a GT3 rumored with PDK I believe and direct injection, so I imagine that would come out before the 997TTS+PDK. And the S would most likely be reserved for the last year of TT production.

 

There are GT2 S rumors.

 

If a pro GT2 version then it might called GT2 RS?Not just S?

 

No Turbo S rumors currently. I think it would be a bad move to charge more $$ to keep the GTR in the rear view so the regular turbo will see a bump in power beforehand. Then towards the end of the cars cycle the S will appear as a carryover for the next Turbo.

 

My dealer told me yesterday NO GT cars for at least two years. That includes GT2's. Is he blowing smoke at me? Also only he said only 67 GT2's in the US this year.

 

I heard something similar, 2yrs.
Plus, any s will have the direct inject wet sump engine, no thanks.
Not sure about the total # gt2's, but that sounds low, I bet most are still at the dealer showrooms too.

Not so sure I would use that description on a non GT2,3,RS 911 with used car pricing nowadays

Wrong. There are over 100 in the US as of about 2-3 weeks ago. It is public information, and have seen production #'s in the US on Rennteam.

 

300 US 997 GT2 cars will be produced for 2008 and 2009.

 

My dealer called me and said they were taking orders for 2009 turbo s. Maybe they are misinformed...

 

My dealer said PDK coming in Turbo but no S for 09

 

I think this guy is blowing smoke because he's trying to sell me a GT2 at about $20K over sticker. But, I won't buy a wet sump Porsche GT car. I think Prosche is moving in a direction leaving the us die hard fans behind for more profitable markets. SUV's!
