997TT dropped off for upgrades
997TT dropped off for upgrades (Now finished w/ pics)
After driving her a bit, it became obvious to me that she needed more sound. From a comfort standpoint the engine is very smooth and quiet, but when you drive by listening to rpms and the engine I found the turbo hard to drive compared to something like the gt3 w/ a stock exhaust.
After reading many threads and listening to a lot of sound clips, I ended up going with the AWE for 2 reasons. 1) I've had great experiences with them on my other cars 2) of course the sound. The black tips really caught my eye so I opted for those. I figure while they are in there I might as well do the headers too. I also went w/ the GIAC chip so I hope when I get her back later this week its a new car. I'll post some pics and vids then too. Thanks to everyone that has posted exhaust threads, it really helped me make an informed decision. Here are the before pics...

All I can say is "WOW". Its definately a new car and so much more fun to drive. The sound is amazing, especially when you are outside of the car listening to acceleration. Inside its a very comfortable rumble. Also, the throttle is much more responsive at lower RPM's and the thing really rips when the turbos wind up (17 psi according to digital readout). Thanks to AWE and Avalon for the great parts and work.

awelch,
Thank you for your repeat business.
It is clients like yourself that have gotten us where we are now. I have clients from the late 90's that started with VW, moved to Audi, and are now in Porsches. They have stuck with us/me for all of their mods...

Nice, really like those headers, if I didn't already have the FS I'd buy a pair.
Does the giac function differently in sport/nl mode, or are you 'in sport' all the time?
Enjoy!
