Ipod integration for 997 TT?

i just got the nav-tv piece put in my car and it is horrible, i cant even begin to explain why because it would take me 5 pages. It does nothing that i want it to do and constantly freezes. Does anyone have any experience with the Dension piece for the 997 tt. Does it display all your albums correctly through the navi? any other advice..

I think if you were to take a poll, most members here would give the Dension a thumbs up.

I'm having the mObridge Bluetooth unit installed this week. It will incorporate my iPhone 3G (and charge it) so I get iPod functionality and Bluetooth for the phone function.

Additionally, I'm having installed a Passport 9500ci and some Dynamat Extreme on the floor, wheels and rear area.

I'll give a report on it all in the following week or so.

I have the Dennison unit in now and have had issues with the car not seeing it at times (at least for a while) and navigating through it is arcane in my opinion (very unsafe when driving). Also, when scrolling through the songs it will automatically play the next song I pause on while scrolling so I can't keep playing the song I'm listening to, to the end of the track and then activate the next song I want. It won't charge a 3G iPhone either. It'll charge a 2G model though. I can't wait to dump it.

White997: Dension is the answer to the iPod/Bluetooth question. We've got a group buy that just closed out too, so email me and I'll see what I can do to get you in that group if interested.

Bluesea - have you had the car programmed since installation? Sounds like a step was missed. And if you have a much older Dension unit, the updated cable is needed for the 3G, that's all. And we stock it if needed.

Our kits are always the latest inventory, freshest product, and all contain the updated cable.

Email me with questions anytime: eric@bumperplugs.com

I'm on my third nav-tv unit. (Maybe 4th). I've had the current unit all summer without a single problem. This particular unit now comes with a USB cable to allow for updates. I hope my previous problems have been solved. The installer was always eager to replace the previous unit and install the "newest generation" nav-tv unit.

Same issues as bluesea, I've redone my install 25 times, it ain't the install. Eric is the man with these things, (super customer service), but alot of 'em just aren't like a seamless oem unit. I think the dennison is about as good as you can get at this point. gl

I didn't have any updates or the newer cable so I guess some of my issues could have been resolved.

We are currently running a special on the Dice Electronics kit if you're interested.

I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have as well!
