Do you need to modify the wirings/connectors etc to make these new LED lights working?Or they just plug in and work without any dash warning?

They look stunning on the turbo, I actually prefer them on the turbo more than they look on the N/A 3.6, 3.8l 911's where the pre-facelift looks more tempting for its cleaner front bumper and fog lights.

James - don't hold out on us Was it a hard project? I was told we needed to update the light modules, new wire assembly and of course modify the bumper cover which would seem expensive. Of course what are the costs of the lights themselves?

Do tell - do tell..

it looks great..

If possible, I'd like to modify the new LEDs to fit the old frame...I have a set of red/white tail light which should come apart with a heat gun...

Anyone know the parts for the new LEDs?

I always thought the 07-08 tailights looked better with the tailpipes and bumper and could not figure out why this car looks so good to me - however I realized this car also has the Techart rear diffuser and Gt2 rockers which add more curved lines to the car

To add Gen 2 LED.s to a Gen 1 Turbo you need the following:
1) 2009 Turbo front control unit ( 2no connectors will required moving)
2) Gen 2 rear control unit ( no wiring changes)
3) 2no rear gen LED lights ( they fit onto existing plug but a smal lug needs cutting of the new lights)
4) a Good body shop to modify rear bumber
5) A Porsche dealer to activate LEDs on front & rear control units

Hope this helps anyone interrested in modifing

You can get the LED lights and control module for around $950.00 For all three. The service charge is dependent on your dealer and relationship. Should be an inepensive request.

The body work should not run you more than $800-$1000 which includes the repaint/reinstallation. If you are in good with your shop then it should be cheaper.

Only the bumper needs the mod so no metal body work on the fenders. Only the FRP bumper cover.

I had this quoted already.

I'm curious as to what exactly needs to be done to the bumper...
