Can the dealer program the horn to beep when the doors are locked?

It can be hard to see the taillights flash in the bright sunlight. I saw the SmartTop option but it seems like overkill in a cab. Also, I read about causing a glovebox light fault. I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with reprogramming the options with PIWIS?

Hi,

good question and not sure of the answer.

I locked my car today having left the glove compatment open and it gives off a beep to let you know this.

That may prevent your idea from being possible, as unable to distinguish between the two.

Rgds.

I went in awhile back and made the same request regarding the horn sound when you lock the car and they couldn't find the option in the system when they hooked my car up to the ECU. It only sounds when door, hood etc. is not shut properly.

My dealer basically said the same thing. Can't easily do it. It seems like it should be possible, but might not be worth it.

Didn't know this was an issue on Turbos, you can program a Cayenne to beep when you lock it very easily from the dash screen. Weird.
