Wow that was a fun. I've had mine to 184 but ran out of road. 200 is not out of the question.

Wonder why Road and Track reduced top speed to 189 from the posted 193 when he can do this?

 

Did either use a data logger? Otherwise, the info from a speedometer is useless.

It probably is really just 193. Porsche speedos always read fast.

 

we used mine to film for some advertising for a friend of mine and we hit 191 top end. there were two people in the car and i weigh a little more than the average guy. hopefully my new mods will take me to the 200 mark tho......

All car speedos read higher than actual speeds, that's why GPS are used for real top speed tests. Cars usually read 10% higher, sportbikes read about 15-20% higher. Before I knew about all this, I used to go like when an old lady in a Buick pass me on my R1 when I'm crusing at 80 indicated.
