When you measure your oil and you are down to the second bar how can you determine how much oil to add.I am guessing it is 2 quarts between each bar.Is that about right or am I way off?Thanks.....

I bar equals about 16.96 oz. By the way, every time I take my tt for an oil and filter change, I end up I bar down which pisses me off.

apologies, i was just quoting the figure in litres from the cars manual here in Dubai.

I would however check your USA manual, as 0.5 litres equates to 16.91 fl oz.

This is what the manual says, you're right. But given the lack of exactness of the indicator measures and the problems associated with over filling, I just add 1/3 of a litre and check a bit more often.

your right, the potential is there to overfill, so i agree do it in small stages. I add some oil, put the filler cap back on then start up to check the reading. I end up doing this numerous times thus hopefully avoiding an overfill.
