Its this cost-sharing model that really hurts the ability of these forums to serve their purpose. The description and pictures served a very valuable purpose. That the pictures are gone now, destroys most of the value of the thread. There really should be some way for the forum to capture and host such images from a willing image owner - when such threads garner enough votes/views and would stand the test of time (being relevant 3 years later, for example).
