My first drive in my new car !!!!!!!
My first drive in my new car !!!!!!!
That's right . It feels like new car . I only drove it about 4 miles home so I will need more seat time .
Here are my first impressions -
1) The Gt2 clutch conversion - This makes the point of engagement so much easier to find . No longer is there a mustery as to where will the clutch grab . It is not for the weak legged but considering that my left knee is not what it was at age 25 I can confidently say that the new clutch is worth the effort . I despised the power sssist feature of the stock clutch and when I upgraded to the stage three the engagement was even more of an issue and this solves it all.
2) Pss10 -Oh my --hit a bump with the old Techart springs in sport mode and it can crack ones teeth but this gives a softer yet more planted ride . Gt2 sway bars are expected to add stability but I need more time to fully drive this.
3) Tubi race --This is the exhast to get . At low rpms in stop and go it gives such a nice growl . One can listen to the radio . It's actually less drone at low speeds too . Yet give a little gas and it's a very crisp , pleasant , ferocious note . It gets noticed and sounds mean in a good kind of way like music -- as opposed to bad mean which is more like noise .
4)The new software coupled with the Tubi do provide a noticeable effect on the performance . My butt dyno says it feels spicy. That's good enough for me .
5) The Brembo -wow -the car REALLY stops . Again more time is needed .
6) The silver painted console and redline pedals . This really brings a black interior to life. Major cosmetic difference .
So that's my first impresion .

I'm back . I will take pictures. as for sound I never had a youtube account but hope to make some video where one can hear the sound . When it's done I'll figure out a way to mail it to those who are interested rather than on youtube . On the first drive I opened the window which is a very rare event to hear it even more. Then I closed it . I just had to hear the full sound. It's incredible. I am still speechless .
N2it was right . It took him three exhausts if I recall and this is by far the best note on the car . It really isn't so loud that one can't hear the radio or converse but loud enough to roar .

I must say I am emotionally exhausted. The build up to get my car back wore me out . I barely slept and yet I am still alert and awake-- just drained .
The aftermath of this mod buying frenzy has me still in awe, somewhat in shock at the enormous transformation, financially stretched, but overall I have this peaceful smile that comes with knowing that what started as an idea of a modified car came to be . And it's mine !!!
So I may just stare at it awhile , pamper it too , use it for Sunday drives , and one day with enough time and enjoyment see what the track has to offer .
Right now -it's so precious I just like looking at it . I don't mind it being a garage queen in this stage . I have the rest of my life to enjoy this in slow stages as long as I wish and I want to savor each moment and cherish every mile to get the most out of the experience of a childhood dream come true .

I am still in awe from my stock turbo performance, I can only imagine of what your car is like - drive safe!!
In many ways we both have new cars . You have great options and choices ahead . In the meantime --enjoy your new car too. Welcome aboard.
+1, agree!!
With so many different upgrades placed on the car all at one time --its like sensory overload I'll hear the exhaust then shift focus to the clutch or even look at the interior . It's all so grand .
I will drive the car more but prefer driving in the daytime and rarely drive it at night or rain . It's nice to see the car in the sunlight on a nice crisp day like a Tuesday afternoon when people are busy or a Sunday when highways are less congested and no trucks kicking up pebbles .
I keep looking at it though .
.
