Milltek makes 100 and 200 cell cats. I think any exhaust with 100 cell cats need some an ECU mod or CELs may pop up.

I heard the Miltek yesterday on a Turbo for the first time and to be honest I don't like it. Typical Miltek sound, which is a love/hate thing like most pipes.

I just recently put a Milltek exhaust on my 997tt,i was looking specifically for a quiet exhaust which led me to the Milltek and thats exactly what i got.Only slightly louder than stock but a tighter sorta whine ,this is even at high revs no cabin noise at all ,so if quiet is what you want then i would say go for it if not, try something else.I picked mine up used at a reasonable price & i;am happy with it but might change down the road if i want something louder. Also no cell issues yet almost 1k miles

I have the FVD Gen 2 with 200 cell cats, I love it, it's loud, very loud, I don't know if thats what you are looking for. The car sounds like an air-cooled TT. Here is a clip of mine....

Don't like to judge exhaust by internet clip but I have to admit that sounds sooo aggressively good! So satisfying loud!

To original poster: Unless you have specific noise restriction requirement/preference, I would say try to get one with a "reputation" of at least average loudness (versus "quiet"). I have to admit "average loudness" is as vague as could be. Check out Cargraphic if available in your country. Wouldn't say it's the best but it has all the requirements I was looking for: menacing low rpm rumbling purr, extremely aggressive high rpm scream, and... "average" loudness .

"Heaps of cell issues", sigh. Based on how many 997 TT with Cargraphic that he's seen? If you don't like Cargraphic, I wouldn't say anything. But since you do, here's my 2 cents: Based on my own experience and quite extensive web based research , it's very very VERY likely the person who said this doesn't know what he's talking about.

With respect to CEL light in 997TT, I have not seen a single report with Cargraphic and well established big names like AWE, Tubi, Europipe, etc., in all my readings of the various forums. The CEL light issue seems to pop up most often with the older Fabspeed exhaust (Fabspeed has since changed their design to attempt to correct this.)

Good luck and have fun. Just make sure to take time and have a real, live audition if at all possible -- there's much pain in getting an exhaust that doesn't sound like the way you expect. The internet clips are deceptive.

Maybe they had cell issues early on ,these cars have been out since 06 so we would have heard about cell issues by now, most of these manufactures are on 2nd & 3rd generation exhausts from what i can tell,IMHO.
