It would typically, but we also increase the OBDII logging rev limiters in the ECU which are what record the over-revs. We match the ECU/TCU actual rev limiters to be slightly less than the OBDII logging limiters which eliminate the over rev counting from the increased revs.

Kakimoto is infamous around these parts
As the owner of the 997 turbo tiptronic used for the TCU testing, I want
to mention some information about my car.
It has 40000 km, and has operated with the EVT700+ for the last
10000 km.
There have been numerous tests and countless hours of driving on the
highway as well as at the drag strip.
With the tiptronic software the drivability is better than stock and
it performs flawlessly.
- The benefits from the TCU remap were:
1) a Higher rev-limiter
2) quicker shift time
3) increased torque limiters

All of this helped to complete a very good setup, and good results to
drag strip.

*All modifications was made by my friend and tuner mike (exellixis),having all the
needed support from Todd (evoms).

I just found out the TCU upgrade thru Sharky. Is it ready for 996TT? only work with EVMOSit (just curious)?

I need to come to the 997TT forum more often; looks like there are more 997TT Tip than 996TT Tip.
