I've been debating between the 2 above exhaust systems and basically have heard the Cargraphic LOUD/SPORT version in person, but wanted something a bit louder... The note is perfect (not raspy, but very deep) but it’s just not loud enough for me. My past exhaust systems have been quite LOUD (fabspeed straight pipes on C4S & Eisenmann Race on M5) and I don't want anything that loud anymore, but still want something above average just not obnoxious
So is the TUBI RACE louder than the Cargraphic SPORT? If so, does it still sound deep or does it have a raspy sound? Any other systems out there louder than the Car Sport but still have a deep note?<O</O

to my ears the cargraphic is a touch louder but hardly a difference worth buying one over the other. My personal preference was the sportier sound of the cargraphic, your results may vary.

 

The Tubi Race has no cats, so it must be louder. I have heard that new FVD, it's not for the faint of heart. The guys installing it called it a "come backer" cause it was sooo freakin loud.

Yes, see NYAMG's post above for clip of FVD. I personally have the Cargraphic Loud on my Turbo and find the loudness level is just right.

For OP, if you want something extremely loud, do look into the GMG exhaust. Very loud, very aggressive, and spectacular in many aspects. I believe it's the only on the market with true quad exhausts also (not the fake quad tip).

As far as race exhaust without catalyst, what happens when you need a smog check? Does it pass smog check??

 

From what I was told the TUBI RACE does not pass inspection.

 

those with the TUBI RACE, GMG, or FVD, or have heard it in person can you tell me if the sound is a DEEP & THROATY, or LOUD and HIGH pitch?

I had the Eisenmann Race on my M5 and the loudness was fine with me but I hated the high pitch sound it made...

 

I would have to say that the FVD is deep and throaty, haven't heard the TUBI race in person but I have heard most of the others, I would say the FVD is very loud without being annoying, also I haven't had any drone, I have had it on for about 1500 miles now. I'm very happy with it.

 

Tubi race wont pass a smog check by a wide margin.

GMG is louder IMO than the cargraphic loud, got a ride in the GMG car. Nice exhaust, good choice if you want the louder sound.

 

Wait a minute, are you guys telling me every time a Tubi race's car needs a smog check, owner has to uninstall the exhaust system and put the stock unit back on?!

 

Just to let everyone know we have have an sound version (loud) and a TUV version (quiet) both available with 200 cell, 100 cell or bypass. TT Gasman, the one you maybe referring to was done by Ruf and was our sound version with 100 cell cats. Nyamg's is our 200 cell sound version.

Here are the tips on the FVD tips, they are dual 90mm or 3.5 inch tips which are true duals...



Here is a little more information on the 200 cell version which will pass smog without check engine lights. We use HJS tri metal cats which are the best on the market.
