Hey Sparkhill... not sure if/when you're back here next but we always use Tony@TC Design. I know it's far but he's a whiz when it comes to alignments....

Sparkill - they don't have this at your dealership? Both dealerships in my region have done all the wheel and tire tweaks at fairly reasonable cost . I don't recall the exact price but that's a good thing because if it were bad I'd remember .

If I were you I'd take the 2 hour drive from Sacramento and visit the expert that Alex recommended. An alignment can make or break a car's handling and road feel.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I don't have 100% confidence in my small local (Reno) dealership so I was hoping that somebody good might be two hours away in Sacramento. The Bay Area is four hours away, but sounds like it might be the best option.

I have been to a couple of places in Reno (PM for details). I have been completely happy with Jess@Bill Pearce Porsche in Reno, 775-826-2100. Once I found Jess, I stopped looking in Sac.

If you can make it to Infineon, I hear from reputable sources that Tim Barber is awesome. I plan on taking my car to him in a couple of weeks.

If you have the specs you want, any place can do it for you...find a place with a laser rack that will allow you to watch and ensure your requested specs are met.

especially if you don't have coilovers and camber plates...I would never pay for a race shop to do my alignment unless I was using it for "race day". aka never but that's just me and never had the $$ to track my STi /bike
