It is incredible that Porsche don't have a decent sequential gearbox like BMW,Ferrari or Lambo.

I don't see why Porsche would make an announcement like that. If there are tip cars sitting on the lot and you know that the PDK is going to hit the showroom who would buy one?

You are right, they would have to give huge discounts to tip cars at Porsche's expense. However may be more affordable for some as well.

This news has always been "around."

Their losses from discounting TipS equipped car will be offset by the money saved with the new engine replacement.

The 997.2 turbo is coming, i was told from my Porsche dealer that they will have it this year October-November. This model will be well above 500hp, convertible and turbo S will be available summer 2010. Yes the new turbo gets the PDK.

The only reason that they didn't put the PDK on the GT3 is because of some track-racing regulations. I believe GT3 and GT2 will still be manual in the future.

really? I have had all the gearboxes and I will tell you, PDK does not suck.
I recommend you try it, and if you have tried it, try it again.
