997TT with PDK and Proper paddles are COMING!!
I was at Porsche Vietnam the other day servicing my car and I got to talk to the General Director who told me the 997TT with PDK and proper behind the wheel paddles are coming. Am not too sure how accurate this would be, but according to him he said 3 months time till the public unveiling. He also said it was strong enough to handle more power of the TT.
This isn't really much of a big surprise to me since most have complained about the gearchange clicks method on the steering.
I do not know how accurate this info is, but considering the guy who told me has been with Porsche for 25 years, I hope its all true...

While my tt was being serviced yesterday, I drove an '09 C2S w/ PDK. I was incredibly impressed with the speed of the up and down shifts. The launch control was absolutely stunning. My personal taste would not bring me to buy a PDK in a Porsche (6 MT for me), but it's damn impressive.

To be honest I have doubts as well, but he's been with Porsche for 25+ years... Bobby, that's right, it doesn't make sense since it would be faster than a GT2?? and if you have it in the Turbo, it will come to the GT2? and that will ruin the purpose of the 2?
yrralis1 and jjayb is spot on. The problem is not the pdk, but the GT1 motor. Not likely that Porsche can fit the 500hp Panamera engine behind our rear seats, so no pdk until the DFI 911 engine can produce 500hp.
Except that Veyron is made for Bugatti by Ricardo in the UK. Suspect that box probably costs as much as a 911 Turbo.
