Quick Question for those with upgraded suspension

I posted the same question over on RL but I'm curious as to what you guys think:

I have read and heard for years about how much people love coilovers (Pss10, etc.) and the difference it makes.

Here's my question...has anyone upgraded their suspension and actually not liked it? Has anyone gone back to stock after an upgrade?

Just curious...

Justin, I had techart springs and then went to the Bilsteins. Either solution is better than stock, if that's the change you are looking for.

that 993 drive really go to you, huh?

The only negative part of a lowered car is that the bumps become harsher.

But really all you have to do is slow down a bit and it will actually feel more solid going over them.

Go for it

I upgraded mine and loved it. A friend of mine who uses his 997TT as a DD also upgraded his to the Damptronics but wants to go back to stock because he thinks they're too stiff. I have a feeling that he "forgot" what stock felt like and probably would hate it once he makes the change back.

He should have just raised the ride height to make the car less harsh over rough terrain. I did and it makes a HUGE difference. -15mm against stock is perfect IMHO unless you do a lot of track work.

I'll pass the word on to him. He hasn't done it yet. Thanks for the tip, Alex!

I found the damptronics to have a bit more body lean than the H&R springs at a recent track day. But this was not unexpected as my ride height is higher. Otherwise very little difference from the springs.

Jason, I did a lot of playing with my Geo setup before I found a ride quality that the Mrs would find acceptable over the bumpy roads I normally take my car down...

The last test here is what I have now and it rocks!!!
