Tubi "Street" or Tubi "Race"
Im ready to pull the trigger on a Tubi. But not sure which one? I love loud, rumble Porche's. Pros & Cons?
The only thing thats keeping me from getting the Race is that, there is a lot more drone inside the car? How much more? City, Highway?
Is the GIAC neccesary?
Any help will be appreciated.

I don't know about Florida, but in Illinois, you won't pass emissions without cats. The street exhaust is pretty loud, especially at highway speeds. Honestly, in my opinion, I would go with the street version. It's much more livable.

Is GIAC necessary? No. But you would be nuts not to get it. The bang for the buck is phenominal.
I haven't heard Tubi race but for my ears...the regular Tubi just doesn't do it for me. But everyone is different, everyone uses the car differently so it's really up to you to listen to them and decide. Many people have the Tubi exhaust and love it!
Let us know what you do!

Tubi race -I even feel that at low throttle it can be more quiet yet at start up and full throttle it roars . So it's there when you need it . Send me a PM with yoir e mail and I'll e mail you a cold start and clips of both. I haven't gone the yoitube route but I have taken a little video of my car.

Thanks Alan!! When are we gonna get you some more power?
Having heard both systems first hand, I must say the Tubi race is simply amazing!! It has a very "exotic" sound (for lack of a better word) which I think is really unique to the Tubi systems. Surprisingly, there's very little drone and the sound...well...just awesome!

That's a tough question, since the race version replaces the cats. If your inspection facility visibly checks for the cats, then you'll more then likely have a problem. I think this will vary from state to state. Best bet would be to ask others in your area that have run similar setups to see how they deal with inspection issues.
When I lived in New Jersey, our inspection was very thorough, but as long as your car passed all readiness codes when checked via the OBDII port, I've seen cars without cats pass. The other option would be to swap the system when going for your inspection.

The only thing thats keeping me from getting the Race is that, there is a lot more drone inside the car? How much more? City, Highway?
Dealer quoted me $4,500/Street & $5,200/Race Installed (seems like an OK price)
Is the GIAC neccesary? $7,495 w/GIAC
Any help will be appreciated.

Actually, the Tubi Race system is slightly less expensive. Feel free to contact me if you have any pricing or availability questions.

Both systems sound great... I'd say the race verges on "Epic"....

However if you have a cab, or a daily driver and don't want any resonance stick to the regular version IMHO.
