2010 Turbo allocation
It will be thin. They won't officially release the cars in the US before January. Some dealers have Nov build dates now, and some are still unsold.
With the pricing model Porsche has delivered for 2010 Turbos, I don't think they are going to move so fast off the lots. So Porsche cut production for '09, and further for '10, in hopes of balancing this disasterous situation out.
Only time will tell. And it's likely a very short run on the new turbo too....I believe model year '12 will show us something a bit more enticing than the same old rerun with a few new tricks and an unproven block.
Hope so. And I sure as hell hope the currency experts at PAG are hedging so we can see turbos in a more reasonable price category.
They are bringing the '10 turbo with a block that costs (according to various sources and some rumor) 20k less than the race-proven GT1 block, yet they raise the price on the base car and just about every option you'd want. Go figure.

My dealer in Austin cannot keep Turbo's, used or new, on his lot for more than a week and he told me they already have their numbers for the next few months and they are low across the board on everything. They do very good sales.
Had a local dealer call the other day with some available cars and build slots. Things are just not moving right now.

There were less than 10 new coupes left when I got mine on August 31st... half of them were tips.
i think the new 09s are still sitting around...a large dealer in boston has only moved 1 in the last few months, and has a new 08 still sitting around
the used market is a different story

Same ole fish story...
The 'limited run' story gets dusted off with each new introduction...dealers must learn it in 'sales school' to get everyone worked up along with the prices they'll try to hold to. I was told the same thing when I purchased my 2007 and then 2008 and both turned out to be plentiful...just check the number of them on the used car list (like my 2008 Turbo) that I just put on cars.com today. Bargain as hard as you can.
Just a few days ago I started to see used Turbos not really selling but before that used Turbos were still hot, at least in Texas they were... new ones are stalling a bit... I think 2010's will have a hard time moving now with the Pana there will be some split choice in the showroom... so 2010's for everyone who wants them, I just hope those picking either a 997TT or Pana leave a good used 997TT on hand for those who don't count with the funds for a new one...
I called a few dealers and was able to find a 2010 turbo PDK coupe allocation.
So it's not like every dealer will have a car available but shouldn't be too hard to find one either.
