Saw a Purple 997 Turbo yesterday....

It looked absolutely incredible. Getting off 684 north at Mt. Kisco/Beford in Westchester County, NY around 6pm. I just caught up to it as he was exiting so I couldn't snap a pic. I was like "PURPLE?????" wow...it was stunning....All I usually see is black and some shade of grey/silver. It was nice to see one that stood out.

In certain light midnight blue metallic looks purple. Could this be the color you saw?

Nope...it was still daylight and I was right next to it. My dad had a lapis boxster years ago and I love midnight blue....no mistaking those colors. It was Barney Purple no question about it.

Its purple, a very cool iridescent purple. I live off that exit. I see that car around occasionally. Someone told me it was a special order that someone didnt buy, and that guy got it for some crazy price (crazy good). I happen to think it's really stunning..........for someone else.

I am glad someone else verified this.....I was starting to think I was seeing things!! It was impressive, I think I could drive it being that it is so unique without being ridiculously over the top.

I love the color, but I think during the day at least, I would feel really conspicuous. I've had a bright yellow car, and a purple one, but thats a really different color. I guess its the pearly iridescent treatment.
